A standardized teaser format with thumbnail images is in the works, but for now…
The first few lines of text, including images, before any line breaks is what is considered the Teaser. We suggest placing a cover image and short summary description in the first few lines to entice viewership. You can always continue to edit until your teaser is displayed as you wish.

Create books (more than a one page story)
Creating books currently requires a moderator. It is the sole discretion of the moderators to split longer or image intense submissions into book format. Email webmaster@gamertales.com if you believe an entry should become a book (ie a page takes a long time to load). Discussions are taking place on allowing users to create their own.

FAQ
When I go to edit my work there is a lot of HTML there?
Members whose work was hosted at the former GamerTales.com will have this problem. It is residue from the transfer of content. You can simply leave the html and edit the text throughout or just continue working after the HTML using the editor. You may also copy and paste your work from a text file to overwrite the HTML and format the submission to your liking. However, stories with images will need to copy the <img> tag links to display their images…Or follow the image uploading instructions on this page. All new entries can be formatted as the author wishes using word processor type functions and virtually no HTML.
What if I didn’t write what I submit?
Please direct the author of worthy submissions to register at GamerTales.com. A new system is in the development to reward such referrals. Do not post a piece of work created by someone else. Copyright violations are treated very seriously. It will result in a banning of the user name, email address, and IP address. See our Terms of Service for details.
Is there a minimum or maximum length?
We expect any submission of quality to be 200 or so words, but the minimum is relative to the content type. For example, only 10 words is required for Video submissions.
There is no maximum length. Should your work become lengthy or image heavy, an editor will create a multipage book to ease the burden of your readership.
A game I want to read and/or post about is not listed?
We actively search for games with the potential for success within our collection. We are not opposed to adding any game to the site. Should you wish to create a story, blog, guide, review or video of a game not listed, simply email webmaster@gamertales.com to expedite its inclusion.
What about recorded or saved games?
We agree to host saved or recorded games within the comment section of your posted story. However, the author must send a request to webmaster@gamertales.com . The files must be related to the work and emailed to webmaster@gamertales.com for screening.
I want to submit a console or handheld tale, how do I add screenshots?
Submitting the tale is easy, adding the screenshots could be difficult. We’ll have an answer for you real soon. For now, using a digital camera and photographing the screen works.
Can I copy any of these tales on my own site or blog?
We either have written permission or member TOS agreements to publish all stories contained within this site. Anything published on the web has an inherent copyright held by the author. Should you receive publishing rights from the author yourself, by all means.
